Support Groups

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. Recovery from addictions of all kinds is hard to handle alone. Discovery Church is proud to support those in need of help or who want to learn about living clean and sober. We have a weekly open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous every Friday. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. AA meets Fridays at 5:30pm in the Discovery Church basement.

We come along one another to learn to love radically as we open our hearts and homes to children that are fostered and adopted. We meet the last Sunday of every month from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm at Discovery in the youth room downstairs. Childcare will be available upon request. The childcare team requests one week notice so they can provide a safe and enjoyable experience for your children. Exceptions may be made if you have a last minute change of plans – please contact Amy to see if we can accommodate your children outside the one week notice.
