About Avery

I am a chronically curious, relationally driven, adventurous leader. I look forward to new challenges and I surround myself with wise friends who guide me along the way. My education in international studies equips me with the tools I need to critically examine cultural systems through historical and sociological lenses, and my faith in God empowers me to keep moving forward, even when worldly understanding evades me.

My mission is to ensure that every human understands that they are seen, known, and loved by God. When I truly encountered that truth in 2019, it radically changed my life, drove me into community, and left me in awe of the Lord's love and creation. It also inspired me to apply my skill set to vocational ministry. In my time as an Executive Pastor Resident, I have explored my passions for executive leadership, organizational management, and collaboration with diverse teams. Upon completing this residency, I hope to continue practicing those skills, leaning into community, and learning about the incredible world around us.
