Discovery’s Video Explaining our Policy
Friday, August 13th, the City and County of Broomfield issued a statement requiring masks for all students aged 2-11 in childcare settings. As a church, we have often made it our goal to follow CDC, Broomfield, and Adams 12 guidelines particularly as they relate to moving toward vulnerable populations. In this context, the vulnerable are our children and as such we are asking all students in preschool and elementary school to wear masks while they are inside our building whether it be the upstairs, main level, or basement. Masks are not required outside. Furthermore, we are asking all volunteers who serve with these populations to wear masks while working with our children as well.
In light of this announcement, we want to remind everyone choosing to attend "in-person" worship services at Discovery that we are concerned for the safety of all. We will continue to monitor the guidance from local public health officials and the CDC, and inform you of changes that would affect the way we gather together.
Please consider your own situation, and the well-being of others, as we continue to face this pandemic together. We have enjoyed the experience of seeing a growing number of new and familiar faces in our Sunday services over the past couple of months. In addition, we love the connection that is being experienced by those participating virtually in our live-streamed services. Thank you for being a part of the community of faith at Discovery Church.
We will be worshiping in person and online at 9:00 and 10:45. If you’d like to join us in person we will see you this Sunday. If you’d like to join us online you can join us on Facebook, Youtube, or ChurchOnline.
