Have you ever reached for your toothpaste but realized you ran out? What did you do?
What if you didn’t have the money to spend on lotion or even soap?

Personal Care items, for the whole family, are a commodity that not everyone has. Fresh brushed teeth and clean hair are privileges that not everyone can afford, especially when every penny goes towards paying rent, gas, or food. And many personal care items cannot be purchased with food stamps.

All can participate!

Whether you are local or out of state, you can join in. If you aren’t in the area just look up a local food bank to donate to and let us know! We will be celebrating all that participate on social media (stay tuned). Together we can serve our community in significant ways.

After shopping for a donation, please share one of these graphics as a post to your social media feed. We hope to encourage others, near and far, to love their community too! Click image to download, post, and be sure to type in the hashtag #lovingmycommunity We can't wait to see how the love spreads!

Broomfield FISH

6 Garden Street, Broomfield

Broomfield FISH was started by a group of women from six different churches in 1963. These women recognized that there were people in Broomfield who needed food--so they did something by collecting and giving away food. Now, Broomfield FISH is so much more than a food distribution center. Since they’ve become a legal non-profit, they have focused on helping the whole family and are the only Family Resource Center in the county. FISH now has caseworkers to help those who need help finding housing or other resources. If you live in the city and county of Broomfield, please consider donating to this non-profit and make a difference in our community. If you are not able to drop some personal care items off into our bin at the Barn, feel free to drop off items in the designated bins at any Broomfield King Soopers or donate online-- but let us know if you do! We would love to celebrate this experience with you.

LYLS is a small, volunteer-run ministry focused on mobile outreach in Adams County. They serve families and individuals by meeting a variety of needs, whether it be food or clothing or a conversation so that these individuals can become self-sufficient. LYLS prioritizes relationships with the people they serve as a reflection of Christ’s ministry on Earth. Since COVID-19 began, this non-profit has had to temporarily switch locations and is currently serving out of Brighton. If you live in Adams county, please consider partnering with this amazing organization with us. If you can’t make it on Sunday to put some personal items in the bin there, you are welcome to take them directly to their location in Brighton (Northern Hills Church parking lot) on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. or donate online.
